Telangana Police has registered an FIR against a total of 25 celebrities and social media influencers. They are accused of promoting illegal betting apps. This FIR includes many big names like Rana Daggubati, Prakash Raj, Vijay Devarakonda, Manchu Lakshmi, Pranita and Nidhi Aggarwal. This thing said in the complaint
According to media reports, Sharma has said in his complaint that many celebrities and influencers are provoking people to invest money on betting platforms through social media and advertisements. He said that while talking to the youth of his colony, he came to know about this. Many people have lost their money in betting and gambling apps being promoted by these celebrities. He said that he himself was going to invest money in it, but his family stopped him from doing so.
The case registered under these sections
The police have registered this FIR under sections 318 (4) and 112 of the Indian Justice Code, sections 3, 3 (A) of the Telangana Gaming Act and section 66 (d) of the IT Act. The police has now started an investigation against the financial network of these platforms and is investigating the role of celebrities in the case. In FIR Ananya Shrimukhi, Siri Hanumantu, Shyamala, Varshini, Shobha, Neha, Pandu, Padmavati, Social media influencers like Imran Khan , Vishnu Priya, Harsh Sai, Sunny Yadav, Tasty Teja and Ritu are included.
